New capacities are really growing.
Trust them.

Truly forgive others for not being what you would hope of them.
They are struggling.
They don’t know how to do it better just yet.
They have fear.
They need your compassion.

Trust speaks a foreign language I have yet to train
my tongue to shape, my ear to comprehend.
I’ve rejected trust as alien even when she longs for refuge
in those pockets of my soul where I’ve long harboured fear
